Sumarnatta (04:10)
This is my take on a ballad by the norwegian composer Geir Tveitt (1908-1981) called "Vi skal ikkje sova bort sumarnatta" - meaning something like "Let's not waste the summernight by sleeping". The song is originally a tender, lyrical piece - so I thought it would be funny to do it more "vikingish" - with manly singing, bombastic percussion and ..eh kazoo. I had a great time doing it, and haven't made this kind of music since the early nineties.
