Cadenza MIDI Diary
NewListing--->ThisWeek--->ThisMonth--->The Cadenza MIDI Diary is celebrating its first ten years of online music making, and also the first anniversary of the switch to a more adventurous format, accepting pieces in MIDI, MP3, MOV, SWF, WAV and WMV formats. Since the switch, we've received over 600 new submissions - small compared to PooTube etc, but these are all original pieces and arrangements, not just shared files. To celebrate the ten year mark, we've added some new pages listing all the pieces by style, added new styles and improved the visibility of the built-in forum.

L.A. Songwriters Co-Op
NewListing--->ThisWeek--->ThisMonth--->The L.A. Songwriters Co-Op has begun holding our meetings at a new venue: The Pig & Whistle is a cool old Hollywood club with a renewed vibe. At this new and exciting venue, we will hold our meetings in a REAR, PRIVATE ROOM, an entertainment space which can be entered from the front of the club, or the side door at the top of the stairs off of the valet parking lot on McCadden. There is a permanent stage area, P. A. (with mics, integrated CD player, etc.), piano, lots of comfortable seating, and food & drinks available. The Pig & Whistle is located in the heart of Hollywood at 6714 Hollywood Blvd. (at the corner of McCadden - one block East of Highland) right next to the world famous Egyptian Theatre and one block from the Hollywood-Highland Complex/Kodak Theatre. It is also right across the street (mcCadden) from the Musicians Institute. Admission is five dollars for each person attending. The $5 admission fee will be collected at the door. Sorry, but there can be no exceptions.

The Sound Projector
NewListing--->ThisWeek--->ThisMonth--->The Sound Projector is an online magazine always full of interesting stuff and many reviews of the strange and wonderful across the musical spectrum. Strongly vinyl-oriented. The new issue, 200 pages, has a lengthy interview with Philip Sanderson of Snatch Tapes about the UK cassette scene late 70s/early 80s... And also I must admit to a bit of self-interest because there's also a short interview with Cultural Amnesia and a review of the Enormous Savages LP we put out earlier this year. There's also a Sound Projector radio show with Resonance FM.
